Joost van Oss creates conceptual art that confronts ownership, emotion, and meaning through challenging, deliberate absence. Taking cues from Bas Jan Ader’s emotional vulnerability, Charles Bukowski’s anti-consumerism, and Giordano Bruno’s martyrdom for his beliefs, van Oss’ work offers no easy answers—only open space and deep thinking.
